Padre pio is a spiritual website that provides biography of Padre Pío and the language of the website is spanish. This gives valuable information, tips, prayers and spiritual news. The project aimed to enhance the website’s functionality by creating a custom post type specifically for articles and resources related to padre pio. This custom post type would allow for easy management and organization of content on the website.

Overview of project

A custom post type website refers to a website built on a content management system (CMS) like WordPress, where custom post types are used to organize and display specific types of content beyond the standard posts and pages provided by the CMS.
In CMS platforms like WordPress, a post type is a term used to describe different types of content. By default, WordPress provides two primary post types: posts and pages.So in this project we have made customization and created custom post type for news,prayers,petitions.
In the prayer post type we have introduced audio field like featured image,category so the user can play audio and download audio and for petition post type user can like or dislike the content just like Facebook

Key Project Goals

1. Custom Post Type Creation

The primary goal was to create a custom post type in WordPress. This custom post type would have its own set of fields to store relevant information, such as article title, author, publication date, content, tags, and featured image.

2. Design and Development

The project aimed to showcase custom post type on website. The website needed to be visually appealing, user-friendly and responsive across different devices.

3. Content Management

The custom post type needed to provide an intuitive backend interface for Padre pio content creators to easily add, edit and manage different articles. This included the ability to categorize articles, add tags and specify featured images

4. Enable seamless online transactions

The project aimed to integrate a secure payment gateway that would allow customers to make purchases using various payment methods.

5. Search and Filtering

The website needed to provide visitors with the ability to search for specific parenting articles or filter them based on categories or tags. This would enable users to find relevant content quickly.

6. Related Articles

The project aimed to implement a related articles feature that would display links to other relevant articles at the sidebar. This feature would enhance user engagement and encourage further exploration of the website

7. Integration of Additional Features

The project aimed to integrate additional features, such as social media sharing buttons, comments section and a INTENCIONES popup, to enhance user engagement and interaction on the website.

8. E-commerce integration

Integration of woocommerce to sell related spiritual books or other stuff.

Project Implementation

1. Requirements Gathering

The project team conducted meetings with client to understand their specific requirements and goals. This involved discussing the desired features, layout preferences and content organization for the custom post type.

2. Custom Post Type Development

Using WordPress, the team created a custom post types. They defined the required fields such as title, author, publication date, content, tags and featured image upload. Custom taxonomies were also implemented to categorize articles based on spiritual values.

3. Theme Integration and Customization

The existing wordPress theme  was modified to integrate the custom post type seamlessly. The team ensured that the design and layout remained consistent with the rest of the website. Custom page templates were created to display the  articles in a visually appealing manner.

4. Back-end Content Management

An intuitive back-end interface was implemented using WordPress’ admin dashboard. Custom meta boxes and fields were created to facilitate easy input and management of article information. Custom taxonomies were integrated to enable categorization and tagging of articles.

5. Front-end Design and Development

The front-end design of the Padre pio website was enhanced to accommodate the display of articles. The team ensured that the website was responsive and optimized for different devices and screen sizes.
